April 22, 2005 Summary:
During the morning of Thursday,
April 21, 2005, the Department of Public Safety
responded to a report of a male subject in a women's
restroom at Carson Hall watching a resident shower. This
Public Safety Bulletin is intended to alert the campus
community to the occurrence of this incident. Anyone who
may have information about this matter is encouraged to
contact the Department of Public Safety at 346-5444 or
the Eugene Police Department at 682-5121. Incident Description: Invasion of Personal Privacy:
April 21, Thursday, 9:28 AM on the second floor of
Carson Hall. A female resident saw a male subject
peeking through the curtain while she showered. The
subject attempted to hide behind another shower curtain
after he was discovered. The resident got out of the
shower and the subject ran out.
Suspect Description:
White male 18-20 years,
approximately 6' tall, medium build, short reddish
(strawberry blonde) or light colored hair, wearing a
green baseball hat, blue t-shirt, and khaki shorts.
Action Being Taken:
The Department of Public Safety
and Eugene Police are investigating this incident.
University Housing has also sent a bulletin to residents
of Carson Hall.
Recommended Action:
All students, faculty and staff
who observe suspicious behavior or are approached in a
threatening manner by any person while on campus are
encouraged to report the incident immediately to the
Department of Public Safety. DPS can be reached by
either activating a blue light telephone or by dialing
346-6666. Persons reporting suspicious activities may
also contact the Eugene Police Department by dialing
911. Persons witnessing these incidents are reminded
that physical description information is extremely
important.

check restroom areas for legitimate users before
showering.

behavior and people.
