General Services & Building Security

In an effort to promote a safer environment, the Department of Public Safety protects university resources that are vital to the educational needs of students, faculty, and staff.  Among those services, building security is a high priority.

We utilize many forms of building and physical security, such as: access control, burglar systems, CCTV, key control, officer patrols, cabling equipment, property identification, and pre-scheduled building hours.  These systems and efforts to maintain them are only as effective as the responsible use of our community members make them.

The Department of Public Safety's front desk hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
